I vote let it go. Look, having a "self respect" thing is awesome. So, you slipped up once - don't be hard on yourself, or on him. You made a mistake, just as everyone does sometimes in life, but lesson learned - you won't make that one again. Forgive yourself, forgive him, and come back to your self respect thing stronger and more resolute than ever.
